Motorcyclist Dies after Colliding with Sedan on Telegraph Canyon Road in Chula Vista

 
CHULA VISTA, CA (February 8, 2022) – Jacob Andrew Cogburn was killed in a motorcycle accident at Telegraph Canyon Road and Medical Center Drive on Sunday morning.
 
The crash happened around 7:20 a.m. on February 6. According to the Chula Vista Police Department, Cogburn was riding his motorcycle east on Telegraph Canyon Road when he struck a four-door sedan as the driver of the car made a turn from northbound Medical Center Driver onto westbound Telegraph Canyon Road.
 
Paramedics arrived soon after and rushed Cogburn to a trauma center, where he later died. He was 49 years old.
 
Authorities ruled out alcohol as a factor in the crash, but further investigation is underway.
