Isabella Herrera Detained for DUI, Striking Disabled Vehicle, Man on Highway 78 near Emerald Drive

 
VISTA, CA (February 27, 2023) — Isabella Herrera was arrested for DUI after hitting a disabled car and killing a man on Highway 78 near Emerald Drive.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident happened around 10:20 a.m. Sunday. For DUI-related reasons, 22-year-old Isabella Herrera allowed her Buick Verano to hit a disabled Chevrolet HHR, as well as its driver standing near the center median.
 
Shortly after, police and paramedics arrived at the scene, but the man died in the crash. A coroner arrived at the scene soon after.
 
Medics brought Herrera to a nearby hospital with moderate injuries before police arrested her on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter and DUI.
