Isaac Lefebre Dies in Solo-Car Crash in Mine near Cypress Street and Azusa Canyon Road

 
IRWINDALE, CA (March 2, 2022) Isaac Lefebre died in a solo-car accident in a mine near Cypress Street and Azusa Canyon Road on February 20.
 
According to Irwindale Police, the fatal crash happened around 1:16 am. For unknown reasons, a vehicle sped through the intersection of Cypress Street and Azusa Canyon Road.
 
Subsequently, the westbound car hopped the sidewalk and crashed through a chain-link fence and into a mine. Finally, the vehicle flew across an access road and landed on a berm.
 
At some point during the crash, the passenger – identified as 25-year-old Lefebre of Ontario – was ejected from the car and suffered fatal injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the driver extricated himself and climbed out of the bottom of the quarry.
 
At this time, information on what led to the accident at Olive Pit Mine remains unclear. However, we will update this report once we receive additional information.
