Coroner Identifies Two Men Killed in Wildomar High-Speed Crash on 15 Freeway

 
WILDOMAR, CA (February 22, 2022) – Isaac Barrera and Eliyu Arellano died in a high-speed accident on 15 Freeway, early Saturday morning.
 
The accident happened around 2:00 a.m. on February 19, near the Clinton Keith Road off-ramp. According to the Riverside County Fire Department, Barrera was driving a 2007 Mercedes-Benz at over 100 mph when he made an unsafe lane change. He then sideswiped a Ford Escape, sending his vehicle swerving out of control and into the center median.
 
The Mercedes subsequently overturned multiple times, ejecting Barrera and his passenger, Arellano. Both were not wearing their seat belts.
 
Barrera, 24, and Arellano, 34, died at the scene. Both were Wildomar residents, according to the Riverside County Coroner’s Office.
 
The driver of the Ford, a Santa Ana man, suffered minor injuries.
 
At this time, an investigation is ongoing.
