Motorcyclist Ira Bushinsky Dies in Hit-and-Run on 55 Freeway near Katella Avenue

 
ORANGE, CA (September 6, 2021) Ira Bushinsky died in a hit-and-run crash on Costa Mesa (55) Freeway in Orange Friday morning.
 
The fatal crash happened around 5:40 a.m. on September 3, near Katella Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 68-year-old victim from Garden Grove was riding a motorcycle when a vehicle reportedly caused his bike to fall.
 
Bushinsky was thrown into the roadway and was run over by a 2019 Hyundai Sonata, driven by a 48-year-old Riverside woman.
 
As a result, Bushinsky suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene, according to the Orange County Coroner’s Office.
 
At this time, it is unknown which vehicle had fled the scene after the crash.
