Morongo Valley Truck Accident on Highway 62 Results in Injuries

 
MORONGO, CA (November 1, 2021) — A truck accident on Highway 62 in the Morongo area resulted in injuries Friday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, they received a call about the crash at about 7:08 a.m. Based on information CHP received, a car hit the back portion of a stalled semi-truck.
 
An initial investigation showed that the semi was disabled in a canyon north of Indian Canyon Drive toward Morongo when a small sedan rear-ended it. The latter ended up trapped underneath the trailer.
 
Officials said the crash resulted in minor injuries but did not elaborate further as to what extent. They also did not immediately release the names of those involved.
 
Meanwhile, traffic in the area slowed down while paramedics and law enforcement officers worked at the scene.
 
There was no immediate information as to the cause of the crash. However, the investigation is ongoing.
