Lanes Closed after Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 99 near Highway 119 in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 6, 2022) – Minor injuries were reported following a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 99 on Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on August 30, shortly before 7:00 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a sedan and three SUVs collided near Highway 119.
Minor injuries were reported after the collision. However, the number of people injured remains undisclosed.
As per reports, the injured victims did not need hospitalization.
Responders closed the northbound lanes of Highway 99 until 9:30 a.m. to make way for clearing operations and an investigation.
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
