At Least One Person Hurt after Head-On Accident on Highway 101 in Laytonville

 
LAYTONVILLE, CA (February 14, 2022) – At least one person sustained injuries in a head-on accident on Highway 101, Saturday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on February 12 at about 7:13 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a Toyota Rav4 and a Lincoln Navigator collided head-on near Sloan Road.
 
As per reports, one person had to be hospitalized for treatment of back injuries. It is unknown whether other people involved also sustained injuries in the collision.
 
Emergency crews temporarily closed affected areas to make way for clearing operations.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
