One Dead in Pedestrian Accident on Third Avenue in Chula Vista

 
CHULA VISTA, CA (June 3, 2021) – Officers are now looking for a driver following a fatal pedestrian accident on Third Avenue on June 1.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near L Street around 12:30 AM.
 
Based on a report, officers received a call and responded to the scene, where they found a man down in the lanes. Prior to that, officers believed that a vehicle struck the victim. Subsequently, the vehicle fled the scene.
 
As a result, the pedestrian died in the incident. Crews believed the man was in his 40s. His name was not immediately available.
 
Officials did not yet release the descriptions of the hit-and-run vehicle and its. At this point, the Chula Vista police are still investigating this pedestrian accident on Third Avenue.
