Fatal Go-Kart Accident at West 48th Street and Cambridge Avenue

 
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (March 26, 2021) – A man driving a high-performance go-kart died in a collision late Saturday evening in San Bernardino.
 
On March 20 around 11:37 p.m., paramedics and police officers responded to the intersection of West 48th Street and Cambridge Avenue.
 
When they arrived, they located 25-year-old Herbert Hoover III of San Bernardino with significant injuries. Paramedics rushed him to Community Hospital San Bernardino, where he died at 12:31 a.m. on March 21.
 
According to the San Bernardino Police Department, Hoover was driving the go-kart southbound when he lost control for unknown reasons. The go-kart then veered into the driveway of a residence and hit rear-ended a parked car.
 
SBPD is investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
