37-Year-Old Adelanto Man Dies after Struck by Vehicle on Hesperia Road near Jasmine Street

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (January 25, 2023) – Hector Pineda was killed in a pedestrian accident in Victorville Sunday night on January 22.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:15 p.m. on Hesperia Road near Jasmine Street. According to the Victorville Police Department, the 37-year-old victim from Adelanto was walking into traffic when a vehicle struck him.
 
Responding emergency crews rushed Pineda to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
 
Police said Pineda left the lobby of a crisis center and walked into the street, into the path of the vehicle.
 
The occupants of the involved vehicle remained on scene. They were unharmed.
 
An investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
