Mother of 5 Fatally Struck by Vehicle after Falling from Party Bus on 101 Freeway in Downtown LA

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 1, 2022) – Heather Garcia died after falling from a party bus on 101 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles, early Saturday morning.
 
The accident happened around 2:55 a.m. on January 29 at Los Angeles Street just south of Alameda Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, Garcia was celebrating her niece’s birthday when she tripped while dancing, falling backward into the door and onto the freeway.
 
While lying on the freeway, a moving vehicle then struck Garcia. She died at the scene. She was a mother of 5 and would have turned 30 on Monday.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
Garcia’s husband created a GoFundMe page for her funeral expenses.
 
While the incident remains under investigation, the CHP’s Central Los Angeles office is asking anyone with information to call 323-343-0732.
