Authorities Identify Hazel Hogan as Fatal Victim of Murrieta Two-Car Accident
MURRIETA, CA (August 21, 2021) – Hazel Hogan was identified as the woman who died in a two-vehicle accident in Murrieta Monday afternoon.
The accident happened around 1:40 p.m. on August 16, at the intersection of Lily Avenue and Jefferson Avenue. According to the Murrieta Police Department, the 93-year-old victim from Wildomar was a front passenger in a Nissan Versa which was traveling northbound on Jefferson.
A BMW 550i sedan initiated a turn from westbound Lily to southbound Jefferson. After it entered the intersection, it collided with the Nissan.
Murrieta Fire & Rescue personnel extricated Hogan from the Nissan and rushed her to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar. Hogan underwent surgery, but died at 2:20 a.m. Tuesday.
Both drivers sustained moderate injuries.
At this time, this fatal crash is still under investigation. Police Traffic Bureau asked anyone with further information to call them at 951-461-6315.
