Haroutioun Shahbazian Dies in Griffith Park Accident on 5 Freeway
STUDIO CITY, CA (April 9, 2021) — A homeless person died in a Griffith Park accident on the 5 Freeway near Glendale Boulevard Wednesday morning.
Officials identified 48-year-old Haroutioun Shahbazian of Glendale was fatally injured in the crash, according to the coroner’s office and the California Highway Patrol.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident happened around 2:00 a.m. at Colorado Street. However, witnesses told the CHP that a white Nissan hit the trees on the side of the off-ramp.
