Guadalupe Jimenez Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Folsom Boulevard at 60th Street

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (January 27, 2022) — Guadalupe Jimenez died in a pedestrian accident on Folsom Boulevard at 60th Street that occurred on January 13.
 
According to the Sacramento Police, the fatal crash happened around 1:30 p.m. near Phoebe Hearst Elementary School. Jimenez, a parent of one of the elementary school’s students, began crossing at the intersection when events took a turn for the worst.
 
For unknown reasons, a driver ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle. As a result of the impact, at least one of the cars struck Jimenez.
 
Shortly after, paramedics responded and shuttled Jimenez to a hospital in serious condition. However, despite having received life-saving efforts, Jimenez died.
 
At this time, officers do not suspect alcohol or speeding to have played a role in the accident. However, anyone with information should contact the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office.
