Police Arrest Jeanette Polino after Crashing Car into Tree on Rough and Ready Highway

 
GRASS VALLEY, CA (June 28, 2022) – Gregory Gulizia was hurt in a car accident in Grass Valley late Tuesday evening, June 21.
 
The accident happened just before 11:00 p.m. on Rough and Ready Highway at Ridge Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, 47-year-old Jeanette Polino of Colfax was driving a 2008 Nissan Titan with Gulizia as her passenger.
 
For unknown reasons, she allowed her vehicle to veer off the roadway and overturn. The Nissan then crashed into a tree.
 
As a result, Polino suffered a neck fracture, broken pelvis and femur. She was airlifted to Sutter Roseville Medical Center for treatment. She was not wearing a seat belt and was later arrested.
 
Gulizia, a 46-year-old Grass Valley resident, also sustained injuries from the crash.
 
Police suspect alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
