SANTA CLARITA, CA (July 30, 2021) — A young girl was injured in a scooter accident on Sierra Highway near Dockweiler Drive Wednesday evening.
 
According to a station watch commander, the scooter accident happened around 8:00 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver in a Kia sedan heading southbound on Sierra Highway struck the young girl as she was riding her scooter. As a result of the crash, the victim suffered major injuries to her lower right leg. Paramedics responded soon after and took her to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital for treatment.
