Gerson Jimenez Dies in Multi-Car Accident on 105 Freeway near Alameda Street

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 16, 2021) — Gerson Jimenez died in a multi-car crash on the 105 Freeway near Alameda Street.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident happened around 12:55 a.m. on the westbound freeway. For unknown reasons, 38-year-old Jimenez crashed his 2005 Toyota in the carpool lane.
 
Subsequently, an oncoming 2006 BMW slammed into his disabled Toyota and struck a 2016 Toyota in the No. 2 lane.
 
As a result of the accident, Jimenez suffered serious injuries and died a short time later. Meanwhile, the other drivers, as well as three people in the 2016 Toyota, sustained minor injuries.
 
At this time, authorities have no information on where the fault lies but do believe speed played a factor. If anyone has more information, please contact the CHP.
