Coroner Identifies Genevieve Romo as Victim in Pedestrian Accident on Hacienda Heights

 
HACIENDA HEIGHTS, CA (April 11, 2021) – Authorities identified the 88-year-old woman who died in a pedestrian accident Thursday afternoon in Hacienda Heights.
 
She was Genevieve Romo of Hacienda Heights, the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office said.
 
The accident happened around 1:00 p.m. on April 8, in the 1100 block of South Hacienda Boulevard. According to the CHP, a vehicle struck Romo while walking in the area.
 
As a result, the elderly woman suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
It is unknown if speed or intoxication played a role in the accident. The circumstances of the death remain under investigation.
