Joel Lacsamana and Gary Pilapil Detained in Police Chase Crash on 80 Freeway at Central Avenue

 
RICHMOND, CA (February 8, 2022) — Gary Pilapil and Joel Lacsamana face charges in Sunday’s police chase accident on the 80 Freeway at Central Avenue.
 
According to reports, the chase began around 5:00 p.m. After learning about a stolen white Honda out of San Francisco, American Canyon police officers tried to make a traffic stop upon seeing the model. However, the 32-year-old driver, Pilapil, failed to comply, leading police on a three-county chase.
 
Moments later, the Honda collided with two uninvolved vehicles on the 80 Freeway in Richmond. As a result, the occupants in the cars suffered minor injuries.
 
Subsequently, Pilapil and his 40-year-old passenger, Lacsamana, attempted to flee the scene but police apprehended and arrested both men.
 
At this time, officers have both men booked into Napa County jail on suspicion of several felony and misdemeanor charges. However,
