Police Found 60-Year-Old Man with Fatal Injuries on Niagara Avenue in San Diego, Hit-and-Run Suspected

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (May 25, 2021)Frank Neal was killed in a suspected hit-and-run in an Ocean Beach alley late Friday evening, May 21.
 
Shortly before 11:30 p.m., police responded to the 4800 block of Niagara Avenue and found a good Samaritan performing CPR on Neal. Paramedics took over the life-saving attempt before pronouncing the victim dead at the scene.
 
Neal was a 60-year-old San Diego resident, authorities said.
 
Due to the suspicious nature of the death, San Diego police homicide detectives began investigating the incident. During the course of the investigation, detectives learned Neal died as a result of a traffic collision.
 
The investigation has been turned over to the Traffic Investigations Unit for further follow-up.
 
Police have released no details about the crash, including whether it was a hit-and-run and if the involved driver has been identified.
