Four Hurt, Two with Brain Injuries, in Car Crash on Novato Boulevard near Stafford Lake

NOVATO, CA (February 22, 2022) — Four people suffered injuries in a car accident on Novato Boulevard on Saturday, February 19.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at around 10:45 p.m. on Novato Boulevard near Stafford Lake. The 2005 Honda Pilot traveled west when the driver veered left and crashed into the tree, CHP Officer Darrel Horner said.
Two passengers had major head trauma and another passenger sustained a broken elbow, Horner said. The driver had minor injuries. One of the patients with head injuries did not wear a seatbelt.
Medics rushed all four occupants for hospital treatment. Horner did not have the extent of their conditions on Sunday. He said they are all Novato residents.
The CHP continue to investigate why the driver went off the road. The initial investigation did not find impairment to be a factor in the incident.
