PALO ALTO, CA (November 30, 2021) – Four people suffered serious injuries in a crash on Embarcadero Road on November 23.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve around 1:00 AM.
 
Based on a report, an officer turned on their lights and sirens after they came across an illegal slideshow in the area. Subsequently, four vehicles began to flee. After that, a red Chevrolet Camaro ended up swiping one of the tires of the officer’s patrol car before slamming into a tree.
 
As a result, a man and a woman in the Chevy sustained serious injuries in the incident. In addition, medics had to euthanize the victims’ dog after it sustained major injuries.
 
Police said they did not chase after the other three drivers.
