Two Vehicles Involved in Head-On Crash on Highway 99 in Tehama County
TEHAMA COUNTY, CA (November 23, 2021) – At least four people suffered injuries in a head-on crash on Highway 99 on November 18.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Tehama Vina Road around 2:15 AM.
Based on a report, a Chevrolet pick-up truck was heading southbound on the highway at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, it collided head-on with a Toyota SUV.
As a result, four people were hurt in the crash. Paramedics transported the victims to the hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Three of the victims were freed by rescue crews from the SUV.
In addition, the crash also closed the southbound lane of Highway 99.
According to the CHP, drugs, and alcohol are not considered factors in the crash. At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
