Two Vehicles Involved in Accident on Monroe Avenue in Fresno County
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (April 5, 2021) – At least four people were hurt in a two-vehicle accident on Monroe Avenue on April 4.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Belmont Avenue.
Based on a report, a Chevrolet Impala headed south on Monroe ran through a stop sign at Belmont. At the same time, a Chevrolet Malibu that didn’t have a stop sign on their side went through the intersection. Consequently, the Malibu slammed the driver’s side door of the Impala. It ended partly into an irrigation canal.
As a result, the Impala driver suffered moderate injuries in the crash. Emergency crews took the victim to the hospital for treatment. In addition, crews treated the three people inside the Malibu at the scene.
Both vehicles sustained damage in the incident.
No other details are available. As of now, an investigation into this accident on Monroe Avenue is still ongoing.
