Hope Ranch Car Crash on Las Palmas Drive Injures 4, Severs Fire Hydrant

 
HOPE RANCH, CA (August 24, 2022) – Four people were hurt in a car accident on Las Palmas Drive in Hope Ranch early Sunday morning, August 21.
 
The accident happened around 2:00 a.m. near Paloma Drive. According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, a BMW sedan rolled and hit a fire hydrant and a fence.
 
Firefighters extricated the four people inside the sedan. Two of the patients suffered critical injuries, one had moderate injuries, and one had minor injuries.
 
Paramedics then took all of them to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment.
 
The fire hydrant was severed in the crash, creating a geyser.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
