GOLETA, CA (January 18, 2022) – Four people suffered critical injuries in a rollover crash on Highway 101 on January 17.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near the Gaviota Tunnel around 4:20 PM.
 
Based on a report, a vehicle was traveling on the highway at the time of the incident. Due to unknown reasons, it crashed and rolled over in the lanes.
 
As a result, four of the five people in the car sustained major injuries in the incident. In addition, the last patient had moderate injuries. Santa Barbara County Fire officials, three of those in the car were children.
 
Officers asked drivers to avoid the area as crews work to clear the scene.
 
As of now, officials are still investigating the case.
