One Injured in Navy Helicopter Crash near California-Arizona Border

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 13, 2022) — All MH-60S Seahawk aircrew survived a Navy helicopter crash at around 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 9.
 
According to the base at Naval Air Station North Island, four people were aboard the Navy chopper. It crashed on a training range while doing a routine training flight from Naval Air Facility El Centro.
 
One crew member sustained a minor injury and medics brought him to a hospital, the base said.
 
Reports originally described the crash site as being about 35 miles north of Yuma, Arizona.
 
This accident comes the day after a tiltrotor aircraft crashed in the California desert near the Arizona border. All five Marines on board the aircraft died in the crash, the Marine Corps said.
 
The MV-22 Osprey went down at 12:25 p.m. on Wednesday during training. The crash occurred in a remote area in Imperial County near Glamis.
