Five Suffered Injuries in Chain-Reaction Accident on Sebastopol Road near Burbank Avenue

 
SANTA ROSA, CA (September 7, 2021) — Five people suffered injuries in a chain-reaction accident on Sebastopol Road on Thursday, September 2.
 
According to Santa Rosa police, the injured individuals were in a BMW that fled a minor collision. They were involved in a second crash moments later that left them with critical injuries.
 
The two accidents occurred a block apart along Sebastopol Road at about 8:20 p.m. According to police, the BMW moved east on Sebastopol when it was involved in a crash at Stony Point Road.
 
The car continued east and hit a GMC pickup. The driver of the pickup traveled west on Sebastopol. Then it turned south onto Burbank Avenue into the path of the BMW.
 
The pickup overturned and its two occupants suffered minor injuries. Medics rushed them to a hospital, the Santa Rosa Fire Department said.
 
Officials described the occupants of the BMW as a girl, boy, and man in his 20s. They are all residents of Santa Rosa.
 
Medics rushed all three critically injured patients from the BMW to a local emergency room. Then transported them to other hospitals. Two were rushed to Children’s Hospital Oakland. Paramedics airlifted the third one to a hospital in Davis.
