Fernando Lopez Dies in Police Chase Accident on Corporate Center Drive near Floral Drive

 
MONTEREY PARK, CA (February 12, 2021) — Fernando Lopez died in a police chase accident on Corporate Center Drive near Floral Drive Wednesday morning.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the fatal crash happened around 12:30 a.m. Upon spotting a stolen Honda CRV, officers tried pulling the driver over. However, the suspect failed to comply and led police on a chase.
 
Subsequently, the driver lost control of the Honda in the 1600 block of Corporate Center Drive. From there, the car slammed into a tree and the driver died at the scene.
 
According to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office, 23-year-old Lopez of Los Angeles has been confirmed as the fatal victim. At the scene, police also found a female passenger in his car, whom paramedics transported to a hospital.
