Fernando Gayton Jr. Killed in Hit-and-Run on Pickford Avenue [Fresno, CA]

Motorist Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Vehicle at Pickford and Oleander Avenues

 
FRESNO, CA (May 4, 2021) – Fernando Gayton Jr. was killed in a hit-and-run crash late Monday afternoon in Fresno.
 
The fatal crash happened just before 5:00 p.m. on May 3, in the area of Pickford Avenue and Oleander Avenue. According to Fresno police, Gayton was driving a Honda south on Pickford when a black Mercedes traveling west on Oleander struck his car.
 
The unidentified driver of the Mercedes did not stop after the crash.
 
First responders attempted CPR on Gayton, but he died at the scene. Gayton was a 27-year-old Fresno resident, according to the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.
 
An investigation into this fatal incident is ongoing.
