INDUSTRY, CA (March 22, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed in an accident on Pomona (60) Freeway, Sunday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on March 20 at about 7:52 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a vehicle hit the pedestrian in the westbound lane of the Freeway near Fullerton Road.
 
Emergency crews later pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
However, it is unknown whether the driver of the vehicle cooperated with investigators.
 
As per reports, responders closed affected lanes until 10:00 p.m.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
