TRACY, CA (February 8, 2021) — A fatal pedestrian accident on the 205 Freeway at Grant Line Road caused heavy traffic for several hours on Sunday, January 24.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian accident happened around 6:15 p.m. Callers reported a pedestrian on the road, indicating that the person had been struck.
 
Soon after, officers responded, and a coroner arrived just before 7:00 p.m.
 
For several hours, crews diverted commuters off the freeway at Grant Line Road before reopening all lanes by 10:00 p.m.
