Driver Dies in Littlerock Fatal Accident on Highway 138
LITTLEROCK, CA (February 9, 2021) — A fatal accident on Highway 138 near 96th Street East claimed a Palmdale man’s life on January 18.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly fiery accident happened around 2:25 p.m. that Monday.
For unknown reasons, a 24-year-old man in a 2003 GMC Yukon XL veered to the right and crashed his eastbound SUV into a concrete wall. Due to the impact, the SUV traveled into a concrete bridge barrier and ruptured into flames.
Tragically, the driver died at the scene. At this time, authorities have not released his name pending next-of-kin notification.
Since this crash lacks additional information, authorities plan to parse out the details and determine the ultimate cause. Those with more insight should contact the CHP.
