Ezequiel Ceja-Guzman Detained, Phillip Harrison, Jesus Nava-Sandoval Hospitalized in Deadly DUI Crash on Talmage Road near Babcock Lane
UKIAH, CA (December 29, 2021) — Ezequiel Ceja-Guzman faces charges in Tuesday’s fatal DUI accident on Talmage Road near Babcock Lane.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the head-on accident happened around 6:45 p.m. For DUI-related reasons, 35-year-old Ceja-Guzman drove his 2001 Chevy Malibu from the eastbound lane to the westbound lane. As a result, he collided head-on with a westbound 2019 Ford Fusion, driven by 38-year-old Phillip Harrison.
Soon after, paramedics responded and brought Ceja-Guzman, Harrison and 32-year-old Jesus Nava-Sandoval — a Chevy passenger — to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries. However, a front-seat passenger in the Chevy, whose name officers have not released, died at the scene.
