22-Year-Old Evan Davis Dies in Motorcycle Accident at Long Beach Boulevard and Del Amo Boulevard
LONG BEACH, CA (February 25, 2021) – A young man died Monday evening after a motorcycle accident at Long Beach Boulevard and Del Amo Boulevard.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the accident happened around 7:00 p.m., February 22.
A 1997 Chevrolet S10 truck, driven by a 29-year-old Long Beach man, traveled eastbound on Del Amo Boulevard and made a left turn into a parking lot.
While making the turn, the truck hit a westbound 2017 Honda motorcycle, driven by 22-year-old Compton resident Evan William Davis.
Officials transported Davis to a local hospital, where he died. A GoFundMe has been set up to assist the family with the funeral cost.
The truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, police said. His name was not released.
Police did not rule out impairment or distracted driving as factors in the crash. They asked anyone with further information to call detectives at 562-570-7355, or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
