Passenger Eugenia Villarreal Dies after Car Crashes on Alfred Harrell Highway in Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 3, 2022) – Eugenia Esperansa Villarreal was killed in a car accident in Bakersfield on Sunday afternoon, May 29.
 
The accident happened around 8:03 p.m. on Alfred Harrell Highway, just west of Lily Drive. CHP officials said a vehicle had left the roadway and crashed for unknown reasons.
 
As a result, Villareal who a passenger in the vehicle died at the scene. She was a 23-year-old Bakersfield resident, according to the Kern County coroner’s Office.
 
It is unclear if there are other injuries sustain in the crash.
 
The CHP is still investigating the exact cause and factors involved.
