82-Year-Old Man Dies in San Diego Three-Vehicle Crash
ALLIED GARDENS, CA (July 10, 2022) – Errol Hunt was killed in a three-vehicle accident in the Allied Gardens neighborhood of San Diego on Friday, July 8.
The accident happened shortly after 4:00 p.m. in the 7500 block of Mission Gorge Boulevard near Princess View Drive. According to the San Diego Police Department, the 82-year-old victim from San Diego was driving a Toyota SUV west on Mission Gorge. At the same time, a BMW and Tesla were speeding east.
As Hunt turned into a driveway, crossing into eastbound lanes, the BMW broadsided his car, causing it to roll over. The Toyota also collided with the Tesla.
Responding firefighters extricated Hunt from the wreckage. Paramedics then took him to Sharp Memorial Hospital in Hillcrest, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The 34-year-old man driving the BMW had minor injuries. The driver of the Tesla was uninjured.
The San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division is still investigating the accident.
