Eric Romo Involved in Deadly Semi-Truck Crash on Fairview Road near Fairview Court
HOLLISTER, CA (September 28, 2021) — Eric Romo was uninjured in a fatal semi-truck accident on Fairview Road near Fairview Court Sunday evening.
According to reports, the deadly crash happened around 7:29 p.m. For unknown reasons, a 77-year-old driver of a 2017 Buick collided into the rear trailer of a Peterbilt semi-truck.
In the investigation, authorities learned that 31-year-old Romo tried to make a left turn onto northbound Fairview Road from a private property. However, seconds later, the southbound Buick struck the trailer and became lodged underneath it.
Soon after, paramedics responded and confirmed that the driver of the Buick suffered fatal injuries. At this time, authorities have not verified the ultimate cause of the accident. However, anyone with information should contact the Hollister-Gilroy CHP area office at (408) 848-2324.
