Fatality Reported after SUV Overturns on Tippecanoe Avenue in San Bernardino, Eric Castro Identified

SAN BERNARDINO, CA (June 21, 2022) – A man was killed in a rollover accident on Tippecanoe Avenue in San Bernardino early Saturday, June 18.

The accident happened around 2:40 a.m. at the intersection with 3rd Street. According to the San Bernardino Police Department, a white Chevrolet Subaru had overturned near the wash for unknown reasons.

When officers arrived, they found one person trapped in the wreckage. They also located two small dogs inside the SUV.

Police stated that 36-year-old San Bernardino resident Eric Anthony Castro died at the scene of the accident.

Paramedics transported a second person to Loma Linda University Medical Center with minor injuries.

Animal Control was requested to take the dogs from the crash site.

At this time, police are still investigating the cause of the crash and factors involved.
