Elizabeth Vigil Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Truxtun Avenue [Bakersfield, CA]

Authorities Identify Pedestrian Elizabeth Vigil Killed Last Month after Struck by Car in Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (August 10, 2022) – Authorities identified Elizabeth Jane Vigil as the woman who died in a pedestrian accident in Bakersfield last month on July 19.
 
The fatal accident happened just before 4:30 a.m. in the 1900 block of Truxtun Avenue. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, Vigil was struck by a vehicle while walking in the area.
 
First responders rushed Vigil to Kern Medical, where she later succumbed to her injuries. She was a 59-year-old Bakersfield resident, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
 
Police said a Hall Ambulance facilities maintenance truck was involved. Further investigation is underway.
