Elias Flores and Carlos Galindo Killed in Car Accident on Fahey Road [Santa Nella, CA]

Car Crashes into Pole in Santa Nella, Killing Driver Elias Flores and Passenger Carlos Galindo

 
SANTA NELLA, CA (March 7, 2022) – Elias Flores and Carlos Galindo died in a car accident north of Santa Nella Wednesday afternoon.
 
The fatal accident happened around 2:30 p.m. on March 2 in the area of Fahey Road and Cherokee Road. CHP officials said Flores was driving a 2010 Nissan Versa with right front passenger Galindo. They were traveling westbound on Fahey Road at about 65 to 70 mph when the vehicle entered a left-hand curve.
 
Flores lost control of the car, which traveled off the north edge of the roadway and struck a PG&E power pole.
 
As a result of the crash, Flores and Galido both suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. They were not wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
 
Flores was 17 years old, while Galindo was 24. Both were Dos Palos residents, according to the Merced County Sheriff Coroner’s Office.
 
Authorities are still investigating the factors involved in the crash.
