Pedestrian Dies after Struck by School Bus on Fairgrove Avenue in La Puente

 
LA PUENTE, CA (May 9, 2023) – An elderly woman was killed in a pedestrian accident at Fairgrove Avenue and Hacienda Boulevard in La Puente on Monday afternoon.
 
The fatal accident happened around 2:20 p.m. on May 8. According to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the woman was not using a crosswalk while she crossed the street when a school bus struck her.
 
Firefighters provided aid to the victim, but she died at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
Children were on board the bus at the time of the crash, but no one was hurt.
 
The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
