FRESNO, CA (October 13, 2022) — A woman was hit and injured by a car near Mckinley Avenue and Echo Avenue on Wednesday.
 
According to the Fresno Police Department, the pedestrian accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck a woman, believed to be in her 70s, as she and her dog crossed in a marked crosswalk.
 
Soon after, paramedics and officers responded and found the woman in critical condition. She reportedly suffered a leg fracture and her dog sustained unclear injuries. Paramedics brought her to a hospital where she remains in stable condition as medical staff took her dog into the care of SPCA.
