Arizona Woman Dies in DUI Crash on 680 Freeway near Jacklin Road, Eduardo Preciado Arrested

 
MILPITAS, CA (May 13, 2021) – Eduardo Preciado was arrested for DUI after a fatal crash on 680 Freeway in Milpitas early Wednesday morning.
 
The crash happened around 12:28 a.m. on May 12, just south of Jacklin Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 25-year-old Fremont man was driving a 2012 Infiniti when he struck the sand attenuator barrels and a concrete sound wall. The car then came to rest in the center median.
 
As a result, a female passenger in the car suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. She was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash.
 
Authorities only identified the woman as a 52-year-old Phoenix, Arizona resident.
 
Preciado sustained minor injuries and was taken to San Jose Regional Medical Center for treatment. Police later arrested him on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
 
An investigation into this fatal crash is ongoing.
