Authorities Identify Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident at Mission Street and Geneva Avenue
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (April 6, 2021) – Authorities identified the woman who died in a pedestrian accident last month in San Francisco.
On March 2, two vehicles struck Edda Cabrera at the corner of Mission Street and Geneva Avenue in the city’s Outer Mission neighborhood.
Paramedics found the 79-year-old San Francisco resident lying in the roadway. They rushed her to a hospital, where Cabrera succumbed to her injuries.
Meanwhile, an 83-year-old woman driving a red Honda sedan stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, according to police.
At this time, police are still looking for the second vehicle who had fled the scene. They described the vehicle as a 2010-2014 black four-door Ford Raptor pickup truck with tinted windows. They believe the Ford may have sustained damage to its right rear side.
The San Francisco Police Department said the pickup truck may have collided with the Honda sedan before it struck the pedestrian.
An investigation is ongoing.
We offer our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Edda Cabrera.
