Dung Huynh Uninjured in Fatal Multi-Car Accident on Highway 70 near Chandler Road
MARYSVILLE, CA (March 30, 2021) — Dung Huynh survived a fatal multi-car accident on Highway 70 near Chandler Road Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly accident happened around 6:18 a.m. For unknown reasons, a 38-year-old man driving a southbound Ford F-250 merged into the northbound lanes. Subsequently, his vehicle collided head-on with a northbound Ford Explorer.
As a result of the impact, the Ford Explorer rolled off the highway and caught on fire. Meanwhile, the Ford F-250 overturned onto the northbound lane of the highway before it struck a Lexus RX 350.
Tragically, the Ford F-250 driver and the 31-year-old man from Yuba City driving the Ford Explorer died in the accident. Dung Trung Huynh — the Lexus driver from San Jose — survived the crash unharmed.
At this time, authorities have not confirmed if DUI played a role. Although, if anyone has more information on this accident, please contact the CHP.
