Fresno County Car Accident near Shaw and Bishop Avenues Leaves 1 Driver Dead
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (January 16, 2022) – A driver died in a three-car accident near Shaw Avenue and Bishop Avenue on Friday evening.
The accident happened around 8:00 p.m. on January 14. According to the California Highway Patrol, a red Chevrolet Camaro was heading eastbound on Shaw Avenue when it attempted to make a left onto Bishop Avenue. It then collided into a grey Honda Accord that was heading westbound on Shaw Avenue.
The impact caused the Camaro to spin out and crash into a Cadillac that was behind the Accord. The Camaro then overturned, killing the driver.
Authorities only described the deceased driver as a 74-year-old man. They will release his identity once his family members are notified.
Meanwhile, the drivers in the other two cars were not injured.
CHP officials said the fog was thick when they arrived at the scene and believe it may have possibly played a role in the accident. An investigation is ongoing.
