Driver Killed in Possible DUI Accident on Baldwin Avenue at Las Tunas Drive [Arcadia, CA]

Suspected DUI Crash on Baldwin Avenue in Arcadia Kills 1 Driver and Injures 1 Passenger

 
ARCADIA, CA (August 9, 2021) – A driver died in a possible DUI accident on Baldwin Avenue late Friday evening.
 
The accident happened around 10:50 p.m. on August 6, at the intersection with Las Tunas Drive. According to the Arcadia Police Department, a vehicle was traveling east on Las Tunas at a high rate of speed when it lost control. It then crossed over the raised median and collided head-on with the victim’s vehicle.
 
As a result, the male driver of the second vehicle died at the scene. He was not yet identified.
 
Paramedics rushed the victim’s passenger to Huntington Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the first vehicle was unhurt and as suspected of being under the influence of alcohol.
