Driver Dies in El Monte Head-On Crash on Santa Anita Avenue

 
EL MONTE, CA (March 12, 2021) — A driver was killed in a head-on accident on Santa Anita Avenue near Valley Boulevard Wednesday evening.
 
According to the El Monte Police Department, the deadly accident happened around 7:15 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a southbound Toyota 4Runner crossed the center median. Subsequently, the Toyota collided with a northbound Cadillac sedan before bursting into flames.
 
Per reports, the sole occupant of the Toyota sustained grave injuries and died moments later at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics transported four people inside the Cadillac to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
